The O.C. gets cancelled. Is Laguna Beach next?

Jan 5, 2007 Author: Gossip Queen | Filed under: Fox, Laguna Beach, MTV, The O.C.

OC CancelledOur sister website O.C. Gossip reports that Fox Network has cancelled the show that made Orange County popular, “The O.C.” The show’s final episode will be on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 9pm.

The show started off with a bang, but over the years the storyline and ratings started to fall.

However the show did show the world what life is kinda like in Orange County…and sprung off reality shows like our favorite “Laguna Beach”.

Some media outlets are suggesting shows like “Laguna Beach” are the reason why O.C.’s ratings dropped…PLEAZEE!!! Once they killed off Mischa Barton’s character…it was over.

Now the fate lies in whether or not MTV is going to continue on with Laguna Beach. No reports yet on if filming has started for Season 4, which was suppose to begin happening last month.

The OC Blogger thinks this maybe a good move…”it would not be the first time a series has moved from one network to the other and had success, do you remember Buffy The Vampire Slayer, that show moved from the WB to UPN. “  However they also mention that most of the cast may not follow in the move if it does occur “including Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson who have been outspoken about how The OC has run it’s course”

Rachel Bilson & Adam Brody Are Over

Dec 6, 2006 Author: Gossip Queen | Filed under: Adam Brody, Rachel Bilson, The O.C.

Rachel & Adam splitGirlstalkinsmack.com has a blurb - “Life & Style magazine is reporting that on-screen and off-screen couple Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson have decided to split, off-screen. They both star on the Fox show, ‘The O.C.’

While I don’t watch the show, I always thought they were a cute couple, and I’ve liked Adam since I saw him in the ‘Gilmore Girls’ as Lane’s love interest. She seems to pick good projects too, and they don’t seem to be very “Hollywood,” which I like.

The couple began dating in 2004, and were photographed out and about in various places in California since then. Reportedly they ended things a few weeks ago, which explains recent sightings of the two without one another. “
