TMZ.com reported that Kristin Cavallari will be a sorority girl in the upcoming remake of “Revenge of the Nerds”. She will start shooting on the film in October; “Charlie’s Angels” director McG is one of the producers, and among the writers is Adam Jay Epstein, who penned “Not Another Teen Movie.”
Cavallari’s character Kailey, according to reports, will put the nerds through their sexual-awakening paces as she twirls them around her well-manicured finger, and she’s the best friend of the Pi Delta Pi sorority queen, played by Katie Cassidy.
Lady Sovereign has recorded a cover of the Sex Pistols’ “Pretty Vacant” for an upcoming episode of “The O.C.” and a subsequent soundtrack. The U.K. grime gal’s first single, “Love Me or Hate Me,” which is available exclusively through the Verizon Wireless V Cast Music, will also be featured on the show. Sov’s debut, Public Warning, is due October 17 and will be promoted with a North American tour kicking off October 23 in Montreal and wrapping up December 1 in Atlanta.
MTV Networks and the virtual world There.com finally pulled back the wraps on a 3D, digital version of the TV network’s hit series, “Laguna Beach.”
Dubbed “Virtual Laguna Beach,” the new customized version of the “There” environment allows fans of the show to create avatars, socialize with friends, partake in a number of branded products and prowl around a fully digital version of the Orange County, Calif., city that gave the show its name. Players–on PCs only–can sign up for free.
It’s MTV’s version of Myspace.com….a little too late.

From Billboard.com, “MTV has tapped Dashboard Confessional frontman Chris Carrabba to serve as the guest music supervisor for an upcoming episode of its popular reality show “Laguna Beach.”
Carrabba, whose own music has been featured in several previous “Laguna Beach” installments, is overseeing scoring of the episode and handpicked four tracks that will be included in the show. The songs Carrabba selected are “Ageless Beauty” by Stars, “This Isn’t Farmlife” by Essex Green, “Lloyd I’m Ready to be Heartbroken” by Camera Obscura and “Pin Your Wings” by Copeland. In addition, Dashboard Confessional track “Currents” will also be featured in the episode.
Jason Wahler, has been arrested for the second time this month. According to Perez Hilton and TMZ, the LAPD arrested Wahler on Friday at 5:30 p.m. for misdemeanor battery.
According to police, Jason and a female companion, Kristen DeLuca, were involved in an altercation with a Department of Transportation officer and a tow truck driver. Things got physical and police were called to the scene.
Wahler and DeLuca were both arrested for battery. Wahler’s bail was set at $20,000 and he was released Saturday afternoon.
The reality show star was also busted three weeks ago in New York and charged with one count each of disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and bribery.
