The O.C’s creator and executive producer Josh Schartz promises the episode contains a “very special homage” to the UC Berkeley School of Law’s The O.C fan club, who actually founded a real-life Sandy Cohen fellowship grant at UC Berkeley.
Last night’s episode of The O.C. climax with an earthquake ripping through Newport Beach, California.
The episode - entitled The Shake Up - will be followed by two final shows that see the Cohen and Cooper families sort through the wreckage.
Series creator Josh Schwartz said the final episodes would “deliver real closure to the series”.
“The Big One hits The O.C.!”
Our sister website O.C. Gossip reports that Fox Network has cancelled the show that made Orange County popular, “The O.C.” The show’s final episode will be on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 9pm.
The show started off with a bang, but over the years the storyline and ratings started to fall.
However the show did show the world what life is kinda like in Orange County…and sprung off reality shows like our favorite “Laguna Beach”.
Some media outlets are suggesting shows like “Laguna Beach” are the reason why O.C.’s ratings dropped…PLEAZEE!!! Once they killed off Mischa Barton’s character…it was over.
Now the fate lies in whether or not MTV is going to continue on with Laguna Beach. No reports yet on if filming has started for Season 4, which was suppose to begin happening last month.
TheOCBlogger.com reports - “Fox has put up a site to try and Save The OC and you can sign your John Hancock to show your appreciation for the show. You can also sign up for an email newsletter along with sending an email to lovetheoc@gmail.com and tell them how much you love the show and why it should be saved. Give it a look by clicking here.“
The season’s third episode, “The Cold Turkey,” brings the feuds and heartbreaks to the Thansgiving dinner table. The episode is now online at MyFox.
The first few episodes of this season’s “The O.C.” are the lowest in the T.V. shows history….3.4 million, down from it’s average of 9.7 million.
here is what the blog world has to say about it:
Nashua Telegraph - “Barely into its fourth season, “The O.C.” is hanging on for dear life….Pull the plug.
Besides, creatively, the show is so dead.”
OC Weekly quoted OCblogger.com - ““America please watch Fox so that the ratings go up. It’s a great show even though one of the main characters is gone. So just give its [sic] a chance!””
However, E Online says “Yes, Virginia, The O.C. is worth watching again! “
