With the premiere of Newport Harbor tonight on MTV, we thought it would be nice to look back on our favorite Laguna Beach cast members.

Brenna Conrad has confirm she will not be in Season 4. In a blog post on her myspace page, Brenna told her fans she is shutting down her profile.

Hey Everyone…..I have been super busy lately and I’m finding it hard to keep up with my myspace. I’m sorry to anyone I haven’t answered back to yet. I will be closing this myspace next week and wanted to let you all know. I will not be doing another season of Laguna Beach, so it seems weird to keep this myspace open. It has been so great chatting with all of you and I appreciate all the nice comments and messages I have recieved. My life is going really well right now. No drama! I have an amazing boyfriend and I will be graduating in June. I wish you all blessed and happy lives. Dream big and live your dreams!

According to Breanna Concord’s Myspace blog …

“I just heard that MTV is planning to film another season of Laguna Beach, but I don’t have any other details yet. ”

As for us in Laguna, we haven’t seen any of the film crews around, or heard any official word from the City Council yet on this move…..

Word is coming from numerous sources that Season 4 may not happen. After speaking to a number of the Laguna Beach town merchants and kids at LB High School, no one has seen the film crews around.

Then Brenna from the cast posted this on her official myspace:
“A lot of people ask me about Laguna Beach season 4, so I want to let everyone know what is going on. MTV has not started to film for season 4 and they keep telling us that they have not decided if there will be a season 4. It is my guess that there will not be another season and if there is then they will go with a whole new cast. So basicly, I don’t know what MTV is going to do and I will let everyone know once they tell us anything.”

According to Brenna’s Myspace page …

“For those of you who have been asking about my relationship with Rocky now, we are great friends again. We were willing to forgive and forget everything from last year and become friends again. I’m so happy! I guess that just shows you how strong our friendship is and we can make it through just about anything. I don’t know what I would do without her!”

The parents of “Laguna Beach” stars are finally speaking out about all the negative press the show is giving the town.

“People now blame MTV for everything,” said Candace Hurley, whose two sons have appeared on the show.

“They blame the crowds on MTV. It’s not like there are bands of kids coming in. It’s families taking photos in front of the Laguna Beach High School sign. Why is that such a negative?“

Her son Kelan became a cast member to promote his band. He now has a record contract with Sony, she said. “My son set out to not embarrass our family and to show off his band,” she said. “We feel lucky the show did what we hoped for.”

Jim Conrad’s daughter Lauren (aka LC) starred in the first season and later got her own spin-off series, The Hills. His younger daughter, Breanna, is a cast member of season three. He said the school board’s decision to bar MTV from the high school campus backfired.

“We wanted them to show school activities and present our kids in the best light. So without that, what is left? Parties, going out,” he said. “I would say 80 per cent of people here couldn’t care less. They don’t watch the show, they don’t like it or hate it. I’m no rah-rah cheerleader for MTV, but it hasn’t ruined our town.”

Where were the parents throughout the shows? I thought the town was run by kids!!!
