The new release of FOX’s hit drama The O.C. is set to showcase itself as a “MetaMix”, having the show’s favorite artists do covers of one another’s songs—it’s Indie doing Indie! Featuring Imogen Heap’s acapella version of “Hallelujah” from last season’s finale episode, the mix will also include Mates of State doing “California”, Tally Hall covering The Killers’ “Smile Like You Mean It”, Goldspot doing “Float On”, Lady Sovereign doing “Pretty Vacant”, Syd Matters with “Hello Sunshine”, Rogue Wave with “Debaser”, and a special gem of a track from Band of Horses.

The Mix 6 MetaMix is scheduled to be released within the first week of December and will give ample time for O.C. viewers to get back into the indie groove after Season 4’s premiere on November 2nd.

Once rumored to be playing Wonder Woman, ‘O.C.’ and Last Kiss star Rachel Bilson is substituting teleportation for a flying jet. Variety says she’s on board the upcoming Doug Liman directed sci-fi pic Jumper with Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson.

She arrives to replace Teresa Palmer, who’s leaving because they want to rewrite the part as someone older. Apparently they’re shooting for age 25 instead of age 20. That’s odd since while Bilson is technically about five years older than Palmer, she’s spent most of her career playing much younger roles.

The movie is the first part in what 20th Century Fox hopes will be a trilogy, the story of a young man who discovers he has teleportation powers. The NSA gets interested and another guy with the same ability chases after him.

TMZ reports “Brody Jenner is making the rounds with all of Hollywood’s young hotties. Who’s the beauty de jour? None other than his ex-girlfriend Kristin Cavallari’s nemesis Lauren Conrad. Brody and Conrad were caught last night at Mel’s Diner in Los Angeles cuddling up.

Reports have been swirling around that Brody and Kristin are both hanging on to hopes of reuniting. If that’s the case, then this next twist in the true-life soap opera is almost a guarantee that reunion won’t occur.

Kristin and L.C.’s rivalry goes back to their days on MTV’s “Laguna Beach”. Here’s the recap: Kristin stole L.C.’s then-boyfriend Stephen Coletti and the girls haven’t gotten along since. Is this Lauren’s way to get back at Kristin or is this an attempt by Brody to get Kristin’s attention?”

All Headline News says The “Laguna Beach” original drama queen recently revealed she’s not too fond of the new cast of the pitiful MTV hit show.

Kristin Cavallari - whose 15 minutes of fame should have ended before it even began - says she thinks the stars of Season 3 are just putting on a facade with their so-called drama, while overemphasizing petty, little things. Right, as if she’s any better than them.

Last month, at a red carpet event, the young starlet said she’s not buying the hyped up drama for one minute. Kristin says stars of the new show are just putting up an act to stir up more ratings drama and get as much attention as they can. The blonde admits she’s given up watching episodes of the weekly show.

According to IMDB.com, she said, “I’ve watched the first few episodes, but I don’t think I’ll be watching it again! It just seems like the new cast is trying too hard to be like us and they seem to be overly dramatic about every little thing, it’s ridiculous. For us, the drama just came to us, but for them, it seems like they are the ones who go looking for it!”

She also says she would never come in contact with members of Season 3 - oh, the shame!
The 19-year-old said, “No way, I would have never been caught dead talking to freshmen!”
