MTV Network and the executive producers of “Laguna Beach” have donated $10,000 to be added to the reward money to find Max Caputo’s killer. Max is a 17 year old from Laguna Beach that was killed in a pre-dawn hit and run accident on Coast Highway in August.

“We did not make the donation in order to garner press…” stated MTV’s spokesperson.

This money has been added to the $5,000 Max’s father, Joseph placed as an reward to any info about the accident. An additional $19,000 has been donated from parents and teens in Laguna.

Talan Torriero is one smooth dude….having recently been linked with Lindsay Lohan after being with Kristin Cavallari for seasons 1 & 2 on Laguna Beach. Now he’s been spotted around LA with Pussycat Doll’s beautiful main singer Nicole Scherzinger.

They were seen last week hanging out at The Grove shopping and eating. Scherzinger tried to remain low key by hiding under a big camo hoddie jacket and sunglasses.

Talan actually admitted to the relationship a few months back on Kathy Griffith tv show.

The parents of “Laguna Beach” stars are finally speaking out about all the negative press the show is giving the town.

“People now blame MTV for everything,” said Candace Hurley, whose two sons have appeared on the show.

“They blame the crowds on MTV. It’s not like there are bands of kids coming in. It’s families taking photos in front of the Laguna Beach High School sign. Why is that such a negative?“

Her son Kelan became a cast member to promote his band. He now has a record contract with Sony, she said. “My son set out to not embarrass our family and to show off his band,” she said. “We feel lucky the show did what we hoped for.”

Jim Conrad’s daughter Lauren (aka LC) starred in the first season and later got her own spin-off series, The Hills. His younger daughter, Breanna, is a cast member of season three. He said the school board’s decision to bar MTV from the high school campus backfired.

“We wanted them to show school activities and present our kids in the best light. So without that, what is left? Parties, going out,” he said. “I would say 80 per cent of people here couldn’t care less. They don’t watch the show, they don’t like it or hate it. I’m no rah-rah cheerleader for MTV, but it hasn’t ruined our town.”

Where were the parents throughout the shows? I thought the town was run by kids!!!

MTV Networks has announced plans to launch a mobile subscription-based service called Bananas, featuring short video clips from MTV, MTV2 and mtvU (including snippets from the shows Laguna Beach, the Real World and Two-A-Days), along with an assortment of ringtones and wallpapers.

Bananas - available initially as either a $5.95 or a $9.95 a month service - will be MTVN’s first attempt at selling an MTV-branded service directly to consumers.

AHN reports: Mischa recently gave an impromptu performance of Britney Spears’ hit song “Oops!… I Did It Again” at a London nightclub.
The former “O.C.” actress was enjoying an evening out on Tuesday when she decided to treat revelers at the trendy Paper nightclub to some of her singing.

The 20-year-old jumped on stage and launched into the famous song, and even treated clubbers to a sexy dance routine.
One onlooker said, “She got on stage clutching a microphone and a bottle of champagne. She seemed a bit drunk, but her singing was good. She certainly can hold a note.”

Mischa Barton is a very unhappy person these days, for it seems that after her character on the hit TV show ‘The OC’ was killed off at the end of last season, she has been dealing with a spot of depression.
